About this artwork
"Future game – how does that work?" asks the artist Ulla M. Neuhaus. In a figurative sense, it can be understood that everything one expects in the future cannot be planned, because the future doesn't play along; it always plays out differently than one thinks, and in the end, something emerges that one never expected – so, is it a game after all?
This artwork was created using a recycled canvas made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. A company… was advertising it, so I tried it out, and this canvas really looks like a real one – incredible! I will definitely continue to contribute to environmental protection.
Ulla M. Neuhaus is an established German painter with international renown. Although she works in various styles and techniques, Surrealism is a common element in her work. Thematically, her focus is primarily on the relationship between a person and their environment, and Neuhaus ultimately seeks to help each viewer grapple with their own personal feelings. Her overall aesthetic is a vibrant, eclectic blend of color, narrative, and structure.
