About this artwork
Coloured flames blaze up on a light grey, spatulated background. Some of them appear cool due to the choice of colour, but the larger flames in the middle convey a feeling of warmth due to their rich red-orange colour. This is exactly the aura I wanted, because the title of the picture "What for" was in my mind "what are you burning for?".
