About this artwork
There are some horses that touch me more than others. I met the imposing gray horse named Mitch in the Netherlands. His proud bearing impressed me greatly, and when he snorted gently and gazed toward the pasture with his calm gaze, he seemed to remember his active time in the service of the royal family. In my horse portraits, it's important to me to authentically capture the animal's personality and character.
