About this artwork
When the artist thinks back to her childhood, which she spent partly in Monaco, these are bittersweet memories, happy and unhappy at the same time. Taken by mother from her home with grandparents at the age of 9 and taken to a foreign land where everything was new and unknown. Having completely forgotten the French verbs she had learned before leaving, she did not understand anything and the other children in the all-day school did not understand…
her. Spent two years with the little ones, learned the language extremely quickly, then skipped two levels and finally got into the class to which she belonged based on her age. Slowly the first friendships developed, life became more colorful and when grandmother or uncle came to visit and took her for a walk in the Jardin Exotique, the world was bright and warm. All of this can be found in the new work. All of this culminates in a magnificent crescendo of colour, shape, writing and light.

As a child, she often felt abandoned and alone and fled into the magical world of colors, painting, drawing and reading to feel better. Through her lively abstract compositions, she tries to express her moods, thoughts, fears, hopes, sadness and joy and to take the viewer into her joyful, peaceful and, above all, colorful world.
