About this artwork
This picture was taken on a sunny day on the Danish island of Ærø. I sat on the beach and captured the atmosphere of a few hours in a painting. In the foreground you can see the white flowers of the sea kale. Light stones in different shades of grey line the beach. Below the sandy, green-covered cliffs lies the blue-green Baltic Sea. The oil paint is applied very thickly with brushes. This makes the structures of the vegetation and the water appear…
