Uwe Kobold, a natural scientist by training, lives and works south of Munich. He combines analytical precision with artistic openness. His photographic series revolve around movement, rhythm, and change—not just as visible forms, but as experiences inscribed in the images. In Tango Argentino, he condenses closeness, tension, and the fleeting nature of the moment. In portraits, he traces the traces of personality and time; his images of plants and gardens reveal growth, change, and renewal. The combination of precision and openness is characteristic: his works are not merely documents, but questions about what remains when movement changes, the moment moves on, or life takes on new forms. This creates a visual language that opens up a vibrant field of tension between nature and culture, proximity and distance, experiment and form.
