About this artwork
In “Pink City,” I explore the emotional geography hidden beneath the surface of familiar landscapes. I work with a satellite-like perspective, allowing pink tones to become the foundation of an imagined territory. Deep green fragments remind me of forests and fields, while the dark river creates a natural axis that divides and connects the composition at the same time.
At the center, I build a dense cluster of rose and white lines — a symbolic city… that pulses with movement, memory, and invisible paths. Through layered textures and cartographic structures, I transform geography into inner topography. This painting is my way of mapping not just a place, but a state of being, where nature, architecture, and emotion merge into one continuous field.

Vahagn Bagoyan is an Armenian contemporary artist whose abstract works explore the connections between architecture, memory, and emotional space. His paintings merge structural rhythm with intuitive gesture, revealing hidden links between built environments and inner states. In 2025, his work Cosmic Cartography was selected for the juried exhibition Lost 2025 (Gallerium × Artsy) and featured in Novum Artis, Issue 011. He also participated in Biafarin exhibitions Lost 2025, Aesthetics 2025, Spirituality 2025, and Abstractus 2025, all additionally presented on Artsy. His artworks are represented on Artsy through TERAVARNA Art Gallery. Bagoyan lives and works in Yerevan, Armenia.
