Valérie Salem is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and China. In addition, her art has been featured in publications such as Journal du Net. Through her lyrically abstract works, Salem explores the themes of solitude, violence, love, friendship, and life. She describes her artistic practice as being marked by "construction, deconstruction, fragments, and tears".
