About this artwork
In this work, I drew from a palette of monochromatic shades to capture the complexity of human emotions. Using acrylic, collage, oil pastels and pigments, I expressed myself through abstract gestures and evocative textures. Each element interweaves in a visual dance that invites the observer to introspection. It is a celebration of the depth and richness that lies within the simple contrasts of black and white.

Valérie Salem is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and China.
