About this artwork
This painting was born from a moment of whimsy, inspired by a playful obsession with Chupa Chups lollipops. I wanted to create a fun, lighthearted, and very colorful piece, with a nod to the Pop Art world. The face becomes a playground where imagination, indulgence, and freedom intertwine. I've infused it with a touch of childhood joy, but also an invitation to embrace spontaneity and love. A sparkling universe of emotion and playfulness.
Valérie V., a passionate artist since childhood, primarily works with large-format paintings, combining acrylics, pigments, charcoal, collage, and other materials in her studio in Grimaud. Her figurative technique is grounded in abstract backgrounds, incorporating elements and textures to offer a unique visual experience. Her intimate and expressive style explores the gaze and the depths of the soul. Through her works, she awakens intense emotion in viewers, inviting them to lose themselves in the details, to feel the intensity of the moment, and to pause for profound contemplation.
