About this artwork
No noise, no hurry – only the eternal interplay of light, color, and movement. Life is beautiful, the fish say, without words, simply through their existence, through the glitter of their scales in the sunlight, and their peaceful gliding through the warm blue.
In the heart of the Caribbean, where the water is so clear it looks like liquid glass, colorful fish dance through a paradise of light and color.
Their scales shimmer in all the shades of… the rainbow – turquoise, coral red, sunny yellow, and deep indigo blue – as if they had stolen a painter's palette. Every ray of sunlight breaking through the water's surface becomes a golden brushstroke, illuminating the vibrant mosaic beneath.
It is a dance of life, light and free, as if every fin stroke paints a smile.
« The world of colors is not a place of rest, but a starting point - a horizon, a kiss that grows over the grave of our blooming illusions »
Valda Marina Kalous is a Vienna-based artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United Kingdom and the United States. After studying economics, she turned to art, using primarily acrylic and pouring techniques on canvas. She masterfully plays with the intensity and depth of color to create works that are always modern and surprising. Her works convey overwhelming emotions - from hot and cold to anxious and peaceful - and lead the viewer into her vibrant, colorful world. It is not the classic, slick glamour that one sees in her works, but an expression of individuality. Valda Marina Kalous seeks to convey a sense of aesthetic enjoyment and joy to the viewer, strengthening the sense of beauty and awakening the best in them.
