About this artwork
As always, the stories of mythology have the role of teaching us lessons. Ambition has lost Icarus and we must remain humble in our quest for eternity. Our fate as humans cannot be changed but fortunately like Icarus in the painting, the fall will be gentle because another human being is there to help him.
The composition of this piece is based on the Fibonacci sequence.
I made the vegetalized craft paper on which the cyanotype is made and then… created the pattern with inks on an acrylic background.
