Narciso is a print on Fine Art Prints Cotton Paper on Hahnemühle - Photo Rag 308 gsm produced with Lucia pigments - ex Canon inks, an original work painted by me in oil and whose dimensions were 150x150 cm
In this work, I explore the power of the human form combined with deep personal introspection. The choice of black and white contrasted with passionate red intensifies the emotional tensions, representing an internal struggle between external… strength and internal vulnerability. This lithograph is intended to be an invitation to reflect on one's essence and the hidden battles that each of us carries within ourselves. A bold and thoughtful addition that will infuse energy and conversation into any home.
Valeria Corvino was born in Naples (1953) and was formed through the study of the astonishing artistic wealth of her hometown. Roman sculpture, the capricious baroque, the daily familiarity with the fragments of antiquity, the architectural palimpsests of her territory are her first "masters", together with a very Mediterranean passion for the secrets of anatomy and the beauty of the human body. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, she delves into the problem of composition by working on photography, and therefore on cuts, the zoomed image, the play of light and shadow. Combining her pictorial training, her passion for sculptural volumes, the secrets of photographic framing, she manages to perfect her innate propensity towards balance and harmony.
