About this artwork
Exhibited and sold at Art Capital - French Artists' Fair in February 2024.
This painting echoes the hymn "There in the Fire" by Hillsong in French.
A presence in the moments of life when everything seems to catch fire, in the moments when suffering or pain invades and surrounds us, is like a source of fresh water. The presence of a loved one, right there at our side, does not extinguish the fire of pain, illness or trial but helps to bear it. For… the believer this is also true of the presence of God.
Vanessa Baegne (née Lhermenault), heiress to a rich artistic heritage, mainly uses oil painting, acrylic and digital photography. Her figurative art, characterized by strongly framed compositions, highlights plays of light and contrasts to express spiritual and existential themes. Her work, crossed by the luminous thread of hope, invites us to reflect on our social and spiritual reality.
