About this artwork
This painting is Inspired by one of the many travels she did to Venice. This place is magical and so colourful, always inspiring and lovely to go back there again. The painting is build with a diversity of textures, water flowing and washing effects. The painting is painted on a professional linen stretched onto extra reinforced with aluminium and wood under frame guaranteeing no skewing. Sides are 5 cm thick and painted so framing is not necessary…
but could be added if you wish.

Vania Bouwmeester Pentcheva is an established Bulgarian artist based in the Netherlands who has exhibited her work nationally, as well as in South Africa. Moved and inspired by nature, including its presence in urban landscapes, she explores her emotions, memories and philosophical thoughts through the composition of abstract paintings full of dynamic shapes and colours. Textures and colours spontaneously arrive on the canvas, though structured layering is carefully thought out.
