About this artwork
In many cultures, a woman’s hair carries deep meaning, often associated with something almost mystical. It is tied to identity, transformation, and inner strength. I have changed my hair color and length many times, and each time it seemed to draw special attention – as if it were telling a story, revealing something unspoken within.
In this work, hair becomes a language: it expresses emotions, moods, life stages, and the ever-changing nature of… femininity. It unfolds like a constellation – Coma Berenices – a name that has always resonated with me.

Veronika Sarma is a painter whose self-directed journey through European art history, combined with her academic foundation in psychology and anthropology, deeply informs her mixed media and acrylic creations. She masterfully blends abstraction, psychological symbolism, and avant-garde influences into spontaneous, rhythmic compositions that transcend academic conventions. Her dynamic technique channels the subconscious, drawing upon the spirits of Picasso, Miró, and Kandinsky. Every piece she creates is infused with the search for harmony and inner freedom, inviting viewers to experience the profound unity of human emotion and the universal creative pulse.
