About this artwork
In this work, I have combined acrylics and oils to capture the intensity and passion of a reconciling embrace. Inspired by expressionism, I have used vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes to evoke deep emotions and a sense of unity. My intention is for this painting to radiate energy and warmth, filling any home with love and understanding. It is a visual celebration of forgiveness and human connection.
Víctor Collcardenas, a painter with a rich and varied background, employs a striking blend of media to express his art. His eclectic technique draws on German Expressionism, Van Gogh, and Matisse, and focuses particularly on urban themes and anonymous people. Collcardenas manages to convey emotions with a depth that invites critical reflection, imbuing life with transcendence and sharpening the viewer's sensitivity. Born in Lima, Peru, his art bears a tropical influence. He pursued his artistic training at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and later at the Central University of Barcelona, Spain.
