About this artwork
This painting was created in the region of Umbria, in an olive grove at sunset in early autumn. As the day faded, the colours deepened and a cool, damp air began to settle among the trees.
I was drawn to that quiet moment when the light slowly dissolves into the branches and the grove fills with the soft presence of evening. In this work, I wanted to capture the subtle descent of darkness through the olive leaves and the stillness of autumn twilight.
