About this artwork
With Solitude, I tried to express isolation, the kind that is neither sad nor peaceful, but experienced sometimes.
This painting was born from a need for inner silence, a space where colors speak for me.
The yellow, bright and central, embodies a form of inner light, fragile but persistent, around it, the deep blues and blacks create a tension, like thoughts that gravitate, sometimes oppressive, sometimes protective.
In this series, I forget reality,… what interests me is what we feel when faced with a shape, a color, a material.
The gestures are spontaneous, the shapes irregular, because I paint as one breathes: with rhythms, pauses, impulses. The orange and lighter blues emerge like flashes of memory, fleeting moments that cross solitude.
This work is an invitation to introspection; it does not provide answers, it opens up spaces.
