The work "Family Memory" from the series "Faces of Memory" visualizes the theme of family ties and collective memory that unites generations. Three faces, intertwined with thin and chaotic lines, symbolise different generations of the same family or representatives of a common family. The lines resemble roots or cracks, which can be considered as traces of time passing through people's lives, leaving a memory of the past and connecting the present… with history.
The background, made in the form of a strict geometric pattern, can be a symbol of a system, traditions or a family structure that holds individual destinies in a single context. However, the fractures and intersections on the faces emphasize that each person carries not only a part of the common heritage but also their own personal experience.
The title reflects the unifying theme of this work — the invisible connections between generations that form individuality, preserve history and transmit traditions.
