About this artwork
This work, “Night Lake” from the series "Natural Artefacts", is a study of nature as a keeper of time and memory. The monochrome range, using textures, layers and organic shapes, resembles prints, footprints or fragments of natural processes.
The author refers to the metaphor of "nature as an archive", where each layer of pigment and texture is a trace of a bygone time. These works do not describe nature directly, but capture its breath, vibrations,… and footprints, turning them into visual metaphors.
