This work, "The Warmth of Autumn Leaf Fall" from the series "The Poetics of Botany" conveys the feeling of late autumn, when nature is preparing for winter rest. In the centre of the composition are large leaves and barely discernible flowers, as if illuminated by a soft autumn light. Their muted cream shades contrast with the deep burgundy background, creating an atmosphere of comfort and warmth.
Textured brushstrokes add volume and dynamics, allowing… the viewer to almost physically feel the velvety leaves and their fading beauty. This moment captures the fragility of nature, its gentle breathing before the onset of cold weather.
