About this artwork
A sense of awe and wonder fills the scene as three tall, uniquely shaped mountains rise like ancient guardians across the horizon. Their quiet strength is reflected in the calm lake and the serene green landscape below. Standing beside the temple on the hill, one feels as a part of something vast and deeply peaceful.
Vinay Sane is a self-taught painter with a an educational background in engineering, who works primarily with colors, using tools such as palette knives, brushes, cloths, and masking fluids. He embraces techniques like wet-on-wet, underlayering, overlayering, and scratch-off, favoring free-flowing, uninhibited brushstrokes and impressionist abstraction. His vibrant abstract landscapes and thought-driven works radiate meditative energy, inviting viewers to experience awe, love, and optimism.
Painting is Vinay’s calling in life – he eats, drinks, breathes colours! It is embedded in his DNA!
Vinay’s work is deeply inspired by the serene landscapes he has experienced, particularly the tranquil banks of the Krishna River near his ancestral home in Wai, Maharashtra, INDIA. He often retreats there and finds peace and inspiration. The spiritual energy of the Himalayas also profoundly influences the themes in his paintings.
