About this artwork
In this diptych, I explored the beauty and simplicity of the figurative through oil, mixing minimalism and realism with a vintage touch. My intention was to capture the summer energy, youth and freedom that a simple plaid bikini gives off. This painting brings a wave of freshness and nostalgia, ideal to brighten and energize any living space.

Originally from the south-east of France, Virginie Monange is a visual artist with a passion for oil painting. She favors a clean, hyper-realistic, and refined style with a hint of vintage.
