About this artwork
In “Levitation”, balance exists without support.
Each form seems to have found its own centre of gravity —
not through external structure, but through inner calm.
The Emboss Art technique creates a dialogue between light and texture:
as the angle or tone shifts,
the surface reveals new shades and depths,
transforming stillness into silent movement.
This work captures the quiet strength of form —
where light becomes a living presence,
and silence… turns into energy.

London-based British artist of Ukrainian origin Vitaly Moiseev works in Emboss Art – tactile, luminous, timeless. His practice explores memory, heritage and transformation through a contemporary visual language. A finalist of the London Art Biennale 2025, he has exhibited across Europe and the USA, and his works are held in private collections worldwide and at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. His early wood engravings were included in the international survey An Engraver’s Globe: Wood Engraving World-Wide in the Twenty-First Century, edited by Simon Brett. Earlier in his career Moiseev collaborated with Plowden and Smith, a London restoration company serving royal and museum collections. Across all his collections he returns to one idea: the quiet power of silence, where calm, light and texture speak more strongly than words.
