About this artwork
In this work, I've laid bare intense emotions and internal conflicts, using the contrast between warm and cool colors to convey a vibrant tension. The nervous graphite lines and thick oil brush strokes convey the pain and hope that coexist within us. It will bring energy and emotional depth to any space, engaging the viewer in an internal dialogue.
In recent weeks, I've taken a very artistically stimulating trip to northern Spain. I was particularly… impressed by the Altamira Caves and Richard Serra's work at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao ("The Matter of Time"). Both experiences, though seemingly different, were both ecstatic and profoundly similar. They deeply moved me regarding the very meaning of creating a work of art and how it can be realized and convey the very meaning of life over time.
Vittorio Alberto Roberto is a renowned abstract expressionist, poet and performer, active in various artistic contexts. He uses a vibrant and instinctive painting technique, creating works that echo his inner visions, what he calls "Spleen". Through his touching art, Vittorio conveys the complicated awareness of the ephemeral and the fleeting, evoking in the process a powerful universal feeling of transcendence and transience.
