About this artwork
One more of my self-portraits inviting you in warm and welcoming atmosphere of late summer days. The idea was to create a very impressionistic work, where me was nearly just a part of landscape, reflecting serenity and peaceful connection with flowers around me. Delicate blue flowers on my new white dress, festive sunny mood of that day, like small forget-me-nots blooming next to me created beautiful feeling of youth and purity in my mind.… The idea to name this painting ,, Bleu de Chine " came to me almost instantly because of gentle shades of blue and white and grace of the flowers next to me that reminded me of Chinoiserie..
« I am always in a search of beauty around me, it is my main source of inspiration. »
Poetry of Fleeting Moments
I paint because moments are fragile. A quiet breath beside water, a body resting in the silence of nature, a moment of sunlight on skin. Those moments appear gently , almost unnoticed, yet hold a profound sense of beauty and emotion. We often recognize the beauty of these moments only after they pass. This fragile beauty of the time passing is what I try to capture in my paintings. I work as a figurative painter within the language of romantic realism, creating poetic visual stories inspired by such fragments of my life. They are my intimate experiences that carry a quiet emotional weight. I celebrate the poetry of these fleeting moments , because our life is made of such moments- reminding us of a quiet joy, peace and connection that exist within the simple act of being present in the world.
