About this artwork
This piece was created soon after the Hurricane Sandy finished. It was the deadliest, most destructive, and the strongest hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. It killed 233 people across eight countries and destroyed a lot of properties and infrastructure from the Caribbean to Canada.
Vladimir Kolosov is an artist based in Canada whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Russia and Italy. In addition, his art has been featured in publications such as Art Avenue Magazine, the Vancouver Express, the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News, etc. Kolosov describes each of his pieces as being a dialogue with his subconscious. Through his works, he explores emotional statements which are drawn from observations and conclusions.
