About this artwork
In this oil painting I expressed my deep passion and feelings. She embodies a storm of emotions captured in abstract expressionism. When you look at it you can notice the energy and movement; the work of art seems to pulsate and brings this dynamic into every room. My intention was to create a reflection of inner processes that fascinates and challenges the viewer.

Volker Mayr is a German painter who initially started with figurative works under the influence of his grandfather, who was himself a painter. Today, his abstract oil paintings with pasty paint application on white primed canvas inspire his collectors. His compositions have a strong luminosity, which can be rediscovered again and again depending on the lighting situation. Similar to a composer with music, he arranges the colors on the canvas to create a harmonious overall concept.
