You know that moment when you stop overthinking and just go with what feels right?
That’s what “When the Heart Leads” is all about — choosing trust instead of needing all the answers, following your gut instead of your head. It’s about hearing that quiet inner voice and actually letting it guide you.
There’s a lot of movement and feeling in this piece.
I let go of the need for everything to be perfect or super detailed and painted from a place of… instinct and flow. It wasn’t about getting it “right” — it was about being present in the process.
It’s the first portrait in a new series — one that’s much more expressive and intuitive.
Instead of working from a super detailed source, I wanted to be more free in my painting. So I took a pause, reflected, and shifted my approach. This piece is the first result of that change.
This painting stands for that shift — a reminder that you don’t always need a clear plan.
Sometimes it’s okay to pause, listen, and follow your inner voice.
