About this artwork
I've been following Galgos del Sol on Instagram for a long time. They do incredible work rescuing Galgos, Podencos, and other dogs that are tortured, abused, and cruelly killed by hunters in Spain. I've even adopted a dog from Galgos del Sol myself. When the dogs there take a bath with a hood on, it means they've been adopted and have the chance for a better life and a loving, caring family. The drawing shows a female Galgo taking a bath, who will… soon be traveling to her new home and her forever family.
The drawing is specially prepared for risograph printing and printed in a limited edition of 5 copies using the risograph printing process.

Wiebke Aschemann uses digital illustration and mixed media, with a background in textile design and graphic design. She uses Procreate to draw vibrant portraits of dogs, sometimes with their owners, experimenting with free, expressive lines and coloristic accents. Her works reflect the emotional depth and soul of the animals and aim to convey joy, empathy, and openness towards dogs.
