About this artwork
In creating this artwork, I sought to capture the whirlwind of emotions that dance through the human spirit. My use of acrylics in an expressive, figurative style allowed me to blend raw, passionate reds with soothing, ethereal whites and grays, conveying a sense of both turmoil and tranquility. This painting embodies the fervent energy of life, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences of chaos and calm. It's a piece that truly energizes…

The word “A-Venue” is derived from the French word ‘avenue’, a wide midtown main street where people stroll, meet and greet. The oblong paintings, sized either 80 x 180 cm, feature cozy, warm, emotional motives showing gatherings of female figures.
Figures, meeting in harmony in warm red and grey colors and painted on linen, mounted on a wooden support of 4 cm thick. All 3D paintings are ready to hang.

Style of her Artworks Wilhelmina Lof’s emphasizes on decorative, abstract-styled paintings with dynamic, powerful colours, realized in mixed techniques. The result is a dynamic painting of which the colour balance changes under the available light, warm in the morning light; bright under full sun shine, warm and tender at sunset. Artificial light of variable strength can be used for highlighting.
The 'colour coded' compositions of my works carry the spectator away into speculative or interpretative imaginations of the painting. Many observers characterize her paintings as being esoteric, anthroposophical or even ‘elysian’. Apart from her series of pure abstract and figurative paintings, emphasis is now in combining both styles into mysterious scenes.
