About this artwork
I want the viewers of my paintings to be immersed in the simplicity of the geometry and the joy of the colors. We find moments of structure, clarity, and exhilaration.
A pink circle adds a soft, almost tender dimension to the concept. Pink is associated with feelings of love, security, and gentleness, which further supports the harmony and safety. The color brings a certain warmth, but also a calming lightness, which, together with the circle, conveys… a sense of security and peace. The stripes, as contrasting elements, could create a certain tension here without disrupting the gentle effect of the circle. They could subtly break up the harmony by adding movement or a rhythmic structure. This allows the viewer to linger in the tranquility of the circle while simultaneously being guided by the stripes to a new, dynamic experience.
