About this artwork
Please note: The price is for the entire 24-part series. The individual images are 100 x 80 cm in size. The series is my artistic legacy and is only available in a block. It is a work with many personal references, a look back at my younger years. As a student, Warhol had influenced me with his Pop Art and thus opened up access to the myth of everyday life: VW, my first car; Pope John Paul, whose election I witnessed in Rome; Beuys, with whom I discussed…
at the Documenta; 4711, my grandmother's favorite perfume; Coca-Cola, soft cake, strawberry ice cream, which I liked; Picasso, which I had already counterfeited; lipsticks that I gave to friends; vacation in Egypt; and finally, in the middle at the top, myself as part of my Metro wholesale ID, as an artist and (producer) gallery owner who alchemically creates gold (yellow RO from Metro) and consciousness from mundane matter (color). All works exhibited in Münstermaifeld.
