An archive of 30 drawings (Binder Book) from the historic Mountain Lake Symposium and Workshop era. During the 80s, Harkrader attended the Mountain Lake Symposiums and Workshops, founded by Ray Kass and co-organized by Howard Risatti and Donald B. Kuspit. Included the binder = Thirty drawings from life, thirty slides (35mm), a dozen photographs, four posters, and correspondence. A recent book; "The Mountain Lake Symposium and Workshop-Artist in Local", by Kass and Risatti, University of Virginia Press, 2018. Chapter One, 'The Effect' is dedicated to Harkrader Drawings from Life and the effect it had on Harkrader's experience during the 80s. The last 7 images are from the book mentioned & included.

X Harkrader is a painter and sculptor based in the United States whose works have been collected international collectors. He evolved from traditional landscapes and streetscapes to compositions that explore contemporary non-objective language that include action abstract and colour field. His objective exploration includes figurative, fashion, politics, and mythology.
