About this artwork
Back from Trieste, where I participated in the ART EXPO, "abstract landscape" was born - a work certainly imbued with the karst landscapes, and also from the beautiful recent comparison with other international artists. In this work of mine I use oil and oil pastels to explore emotional transformation through color and form. By performing spontaneous gestures and stratifications of pigment, I evoke deep and vibrant emotional landscapes. Bright yellows…
and exuberant greens emerge from a nebulous background, while blue and black burst in like sudden storms - symbols of the unpredictable changes in life. This painting brings into a home an energy that invites introspection and personal revelation.

I was born in Sicily. The south and the Mediterranean are the roots of my soul and my feelings. I come from classical studies. I could have been a doctor if I had not met the Theater. And in the theater my infinite journey into Art begins. I am an actor and a director, a playwright and a writer. And I love using the verb to be, because I have never done in my life what I am not. I love playing with lights, a game that I have fed by landing on photography until being an honorable mention at the IPA in Los Angeles in 2017. And in the game of lights, I found painting, a language that allows me countless escapes, each of which brings me back to myself.
