About this artwork
This is the fourth painting in a collection of eight paintings inspired by the seven deadly sins. "RAPACE" is the picture of the wrath. A hawk, a bird of prey, against the backdrop of a stormy sky. I find this image very similar, in a metaphorical way, to the one that belongs to man when he lets himself go into outbursts of anger. What should not belong to the human race, which is endowed with intelligence. The wars that the Ukrainians and the Russians,… Hamas and the Israelis are experiencing at the moment are testimony to human stupidity. Victims are only the people who suffer war. Women, old people, children who die due to the anger of others. The collection of which the painting is part is called "DELLA LIBERTÁ" and was exhibited in Caltanissetta in the exhibition "CORRISPONDENZE IMMATERIALI" from 2023, September 23 to 2023, October 14.
I was born in Sicily. The south and the Mediterranean are the roots of my soul and my feelings. I come from classical studies. I could have been a doctor if I had not met the Theater. And in the theater my infinite journey into Art begins. I am an actor and a director, a playwright and a writer. And I love using the verb to be, because I have never done in my life what I am not. I love playing with lights, a game that I have fed by landing on photography until being an honorable mention at the IPA in Los Angeles in 2017. And in the game of lights, I found painting, a language that allows me countless escapes, each of which brings me back to myself.
I exhibit in Italy and abroad, including Monte Carlo, Luxembourg, Berlin, Miami.
