About this artwork

Simorgh Descending III is part of my ongoing exploration of myth, memory, and spiritual transformation. In this painting, I draw on the legendary Persian bird Simorgh, not as a literal image but as a presence suggested through layered fields of light, color, and texture. Veils of gold, ochre, crimson, and blue emerge and dissolve across the surface, creating a sense of movement and descent. Through this abstract language, I aim to evoke a space where… ancient symbolism and contemporary painterly gesture meet, inviting the viewer into a contemplative and atmospheric realm.
