About this artwork
Yolanda Sanmarcos is an Andorran painter and draftsman trained in fine arts, industrial design, and speculative design. She uses oil paint, drawing, and experimental media, fusing technical hyperrealism—featuring minute layers, microscopic details, and unconventional tools—with speculative conceptual narratives. Her style, "Speculative Hyperrealism," questions the boundaries between the real and the possible, presenting subjects at evolving thresholds. Her works convey an intense philosophical and emotional reflection on intimacy, alternative futures, and the silent transformation of humanity, inviting the viewer to explore the power of intimacy in the collective creation of tomorrow.
