About this artwork
Discover "AmericaT," a unique work that challenges traditional military iconography to deliver a sharp critique of American geopolitics. At the center of the composition, a two-toned (black and white) cat reigns supreme over a battlefield ravaged by flames and miniature tanks. Dressed in a soldier's helmet and sporting a paw-shaped medallion, the feline adopts a solemn pose, its gaze fixed on the horizon suggesting unwavering determination.
Don't… be fooled by the apparent cuteness of its subject matter. "AmericaT" is a bold work of political satire. The use of a cat is not accidental: it serves as a powerful metaphor for criticizing US imperialism and expansionism.
This painting uses feline instinct as an allegory for the invader.
Born in Arbaa on 02/07/1991, Younes SARI is a multidisciplinary artist who likes to stand out from the beaten track. He began studying exact sciences in 2008 but ended up leaving the university benches to realize his dream - to join the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Algiers where he obtained his diploma in "Painting". After having rubbed shoulders with the arts community, he was dissatisfied with the options available to him both creatively and professionally and opted for nonconformism. This is how the works he produced as part of his training became increasingly independent of any evaluation framework. Younes SARI preferred to devote his time to enriching his talent and his works as well as to achieving a spiritual and moral impact for his creations.
