This series seeks to identify a fundamental element common to all things and to use this as a basic element to creative . Each single stroke encompasses a beginning, a process, and an end, like breathing, like life. The creative process is akin to meditation, aware of each stroke's movement and reflecting on one's inner self. For Hsu Yun-shan, creation is a process of constant experimentation,… a way to discover the essence of things/life.
This work experiments with different flows and movements, showcasing the ever-changing appearance and possibilities of the mind through different states.

Born and raised in Taiwan, Yun Shan Hsu, she believe that creation is a process of continuous experimentation and the search for truth. Her technique embodies a synthesis of abstract minimalist aesthetics and conceptual explorations, most specifically in her series of Brushstroke Experiments and IMpermanence. Hsu's work emanates a contemplative resonance, inviting viewers into a dialogue about life, death, and an unceasing search for truth and reality.
