About this artwork
Here's a variation on the previous setup called "Suspended Island." I had started building the black platform and trying to attach it to the wall. Faced with difficulties, I had the idea to return to the wooden construction method. As I have been doing for months, I'm taking advantage of the potential of moss and wood.
The black platform is topped with a lightweight structure wrapped in polyester gauze. I readily think of Arnold Böcklin's painting,… Isle of the Dead, a central work in my references. 💫
