About this artwork
This work began with a golden background poured in liquid paint with metallic acrylic paint. The goal of the artist Yves Thomas was to be able to use transparent colors on top to give shine and depth to this work. The long Canadian winter probably influenced the author to choose vibrant colors for the onset of spring.
This painting measures 51x51 cm, (20 "x20") and was painted on a cherry wood panel.
