About this artwork
A mixture of the highest quality oil paints, inks, glosses, glazes, fine glitters and gold leaf are applied in a multitude of layers. This alchemy of techniques result in a kaleidoscopic jewel like composition of rich pigments that prismatically reveal the radiance of nature. Yvonne Coomber is a passionate British painter who has participated in exhibitions and residencies throughout the United Kingdom. Harnessing inspiration from her many travels and homes - including time spent in her mother's homeland of Ireland, her experience living in an English horse-drawn community and her nomadic adventures in Australia and Africa, she spontaneously and instinctively creates rainbow-drenched paintings that are saturated in joy, love and plenty of magic.
