About this artwork
This painting was inspired by a spring picnic just one hour outside of Paris, where the artist stumbled upon a breathtaking field of colza in full bloom. Drawn to the vibrant yellow expanse and the intricate silhouette of leafless trees just beginning to wake from winter, she created a quick plein air sketch that later evolved into this studio piece.
She hopes viewers feel the freshness and quiet anticipation of early spring that fleeting moment… when the land is alive with color, but the trees haven’t yet caught up. The field glows with warmth, while the bare branches stand as sculptural reminders of the season’s slow transformation.
Acrylic on canvas was the ideal medium for capturing both the intensity of the yellow blossoms and the textured energy of the field. The style, rooted in her vivid impressionism, emphasizes bold color contrasts and expressive brushwork to create a sense of movement and emotion
« Through art, I could express myself to the best. It's a visual language between the artist and the viewer, a universal language. Viewers can transform into a magical place or evoke an expression of a special place, person, or moment in time that becomes a lasting and wonderful memento. »
