A curation by Vlad Merariu, Curator at Dance Artworks Gallery - Gems is a collection built around the fascination with what happens when light enters a solid thing and refuses to leave. Seventeen works in oil, acrylic, resin, stone, pigment, and digital on paper explore the gem not as ornament but as phenomenon, from Ernestine Faux's commanding diamond diptychs and Elena Alexander's luminous fire and seaglass pieces, to Annachrista Kroll-Buchholz's tactile mineral mosaic in actual selenite, amazonite, and malachite, and Gardani's Swarovski crystal sculpture radiating pure refracted colour. The palette is deep emerald and electric azure, diamond white and jet black, the flash of malachite green and the slow burn of amber resin, precious, precise, and absolutely alive
