About this artwork
In this piece from my Eternal Grace series, I wanted to capture the quiet magic of a tree that feels as though it belongs to a fairytale. Painted in soft pinks, lemons, and lavenders, the tree stands alone in a snow-kissed landscape, bathed in a gentle, dreamlike light. There’s a hush to this scene—a stillness that speaks of wonder, memory, and timeless enchantment. Using acrylics and soft pastels on linen, I aimed to blur the boundary between reality… and imagination, inviting the viewer into a space where light dances softly on snow and nature becomes a silent storyteller. Though solitary, the tree radiates warmth and inner light, as if it holds a quiet secret. For me, this painting is a meditation on beauty, stillness, and the kind of gentle magic that lives in the in-between moments—those rare, fleeting instants that feel both otherworldly and deeply familiar.
Ms. Akshita Lad is an award-winning artist honored with the prestigious UAE Golden Visa by the Ministry of Arts and Culture, recognizing her outstanding contributions to the global arts landscape.Lad’s body of work spans portraits, landscapes, and abstract expressionism. Her acclaimed Soft Impressions series, which she began in 2023, is deeply personal. Inspired by the natural cycles of seasons and life, it reflects on themes of transition, presence, and acceptance. Through luminous, delicate brushwork, these paintings offer viewers a sense of serenity, joy, and profound connectedness — to nature, to one another, and to something greater than themselves.
