About this artwork

This collage transforms fragments of Oscar Wilde’s letter to Lord Alfred Douglas into a visual poem. I hand-cut every single letter to recreate the story of a love that was both an inspiration and a tragedy. For me, this work is about love in all its forms, even those that society once tried to hide or punish. By layering text with flowers and symbols, I wanted to show that devotion can survive even the darkest times. It is a tribute to a man who… lost his freedom for his heart, proving that beauty and love stay real even behind prison walls.
