About this artwork
This abstract acrylic artwork on stretched canvas depicts an ocean wave as seen from above. The complex dynamic detailing captures the power and movement of the water, while the composition’s abstract nature invites the viewer to interpret the wave's form and energy in a fresh, artistic way. This artwork was created using the alcohol technique whereby alcohol is dripped into watery acrylic paint to create 'cells'. This was done a number of times…
with various blue hues to create a complex seascape (as seen from above). The 'rolling wave' was then elaborated in acrylic pens. The picture is supplied ready to hang with a white stain wooden floating frame. The artwork is coated in ultraviolet-protective varnish to protect against fading and dust. Frame measurements are: 33 x 25 x 1.5 in (83 x 63 x 3.5 cm). A certificate of authenticity is included. Note that the images in situ are computer generated and are for illustrative purposes only.
