About this artwork
The problematic complexities of stereotypes and labels. Can a saint be a sinner? Can a sinner be a saint? I think we are all complicated and human. We should forgive ourselves and others and cease to catagorize or judge.

American-born, New York based artist Amanda Wall has been searching for her unique voice through painting and drawing for many years, occasionally experimenting with film. A deeper concentration on painting as a primary medium, has allowed Amanda the freedom to paint intuitively and intellectually. New work, from 2023-2024, evolved from a period of isolation and a very meditative state, channeling the subconscious. Essentially, interpretation after their creation, resulted in an empowering demystification of inner demons or entities.
Amanda received her BFA from the University of Tulsa and an MFA in Painting & Drawing, from Pratt Institute, in 2020. She is represented by Azure Arts and Alessandro Berni Gallery on Artsy and participated in The Clio Art Fair 2024, in New York. She exhibited at Aqua Art Miami 2024. Amanda is also an art critic. Look for her at Whitehot Magazine.
